About The Position

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory in the Distribution Center Buildings. This role involves assisting other departments with inventory-related issues, slotting new items, ensuring proper rotation of perishable goods, performing cycle counts, and managing product movement. The position requires the use of a computer-based Warehouse Management System and basic computer skills on AS400. The work environment includes both refrigerated and non-refrigerated warehouses with temperatures ranging from -20 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand and/or walk on concrete surfaces.
  • Ability to carry up to fifty (50) pounds, on dry and/or wet surfaces.
  • Ability to squat, reach, and bend with up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull items with a resistance of up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Ability to climb to a height of up to eleven (11) inches.
  • Use basic computer skills on AS400.
  • Ability to work in both refrigerated and non-refrigerated warehouses with temperatures that vary from (-20) degrees Fahrenheit to 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Must follow all work/safety rules.
  • Must report to supervisor all problems that interfere with a proper and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory in Distribution Center Buildings.
  • Assist other departments in resolving problems with misplaced product or other inventory-related issues.
  • Slot new items.
  • Ensure proper rotation of all perishable items.
  • Perform cycle counts.
  • Move product when movement is warranted.
  • Resolve inventory-related issues using the computer-based Warehouse Management System.
  • Slot move products on the computer.
  • Provide supervision with information regarding inventory control issues.
  • Follow all work/safety rules.
  • Report to supervisor all problems that interfere with a proper and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Post-trip, my machine and turn in completed form.
  • Wash and clean all tools and equipment, and store them properly.
