About The Position

LV Petroleum is opening a brand-new truck service shop in Eagleville, MO, and is building the team now. The new shop is scheduled to open at the end of October. This role is for a highly organized, detail-oriented team member to help manage the inventory, financial, and administrative functions of the operation. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a brand-new shop from the beginning. Selected team members will have the opportunity to train at one of our established locations before opening day, giving them the experience and preparation needed to hit the ground running. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, comfortable working with numbers and systems, and enjoys keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in inventory control, bookkeeping, accounting, automotive/truck service administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working with numbers, financial records, inventory, and computer systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and research issues through to resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based business systems.
  • Previous automotive, diesel, truck service, or parts experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting a larger team.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and move throughout the shop and parts areas.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work around a truck service environment, including exposure to noise, dirt, dust, grease, oil, and other shop-related conditions.
  • Ability to work with computers and perform repetitive keyboard and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day inventory activities for the Truck Service department.
  • Receive, check, organize, label, and store parts and merchandise.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Research inventory discrepancies, including negative on-hand balances, and process necessary inventory adjustments.
  • Process inventory transfers, including warranty-related inventory.
  • Assist with ordering parts and supplies based on shop needs.
  • Maintain an organized and accurate parts room.
  • Process purchase orders and documentation requests.
  • Review previous-shift work orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Reconcile invoices and research discrepancies or chargebacks.
  • Maintain accurate financial and administrative records for the shop.
  • Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions accurately and timely.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
  • Complete reconciliations and research discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related documentation.
  • Monitor daily financial activity and assist leadership with maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with cash management and tracking.
  • Work closely with the Shop Manager and leadership team to support the financial health of the operation.
  • Assist with tax documentation and coordination with corporate accounting or external accounting partners as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling financial information.
  • Understand and properly operate the computer systems used within the Shop Profit Center.
  • Operate POS systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Provide administrative support to the Shop Manager and service team.
  • Help ensure the shop has the parts, documentation, and administrative support needed to keep operations moving efficiently.
