About The Position

Carmi Wholesale Distributors is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as an Inventory Control Associate. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring products are stored, moved, and replenished efficiently throughout our warehouse operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys operating equipment, working independently, and contributing to the overall success of a fast-paced distribution environment. The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for accurately moving, storing, and replenishing inventory throughout the warehouse using powered industrial equipment, including forklifts. This position works closely with warehouse operations to maintain inventory accuracy, support order selection activities, and ensure products are available where and when they are needed.

Requirements

• Previous forklift experience required.
• Ability to obtain forklift recertification through company training.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management systems.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Perform inventory replenishment for picking locations.
• Move products to and from reserve storage locations.
• Conduct inventory counts and cycle counts as assigned.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Verify product locations, quantities, and item information.
• Assist with receiving and put-away activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through warehouse management systems.
• Identify damaged products and report inventory issues.
• Support warehouse operations during peak periods as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures.
