Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
  • PIT certification required.
  • Strong organization and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, spreadsheet and/or pivot tables.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity in ERP (Enterprise resource planning) software.
  • Ability to utilize strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with people across multiple functional areas.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures in data management.
  • Basic understanding in engineering drawings.
  • Ability to effectively organize and plan workload and work in a self-directed manner.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships across functional areas.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstances and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment.
  • Knowledge with barcoding program Nice Label.
  • Ability to classify parts using AutoCAD drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support efficient warehouse operations by performing cycle counts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with inventory control procedures
  • Collaborate with Inspection, Planning, Customer Service, Sourcing, Finance and other internal departments to deliver resolutions to inventory issues.
  • Support in recognizing problems as improvement opportunities and eliminates the root causes of the problems by implementing appropriate sustainable solutions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement events, including facilitation of events.
  • Perform Layered Process Audits (LPAs) based on the monthly schedule and drive improvements through findings.
  • Assist in training Warehouse associates as needed, including updating training checklists
  • Initiate communication with Warehouse employees to resolve inventory issues and picking errors.
  • Assist continuous improvement of processes and procedures (including work instruction and single point lesson updates) and assist in resolving corrective actions. Participate in, including facilitate, continuous improvement events.
  • Support “Boundary Team” alignment between operations and all support functions, clearly defining expectations and holding all employees equally accountable.
  • Assist in ordering parts: sending quotes, writing purchase orders, receiving deliveries, adding to inventory.
  • Input Risk Notification data into Intelex.
  • Maintain and improve the quantities of inventory using the excel inventory program.
