About The Position

The Inventory Clerk (2nd shift) supports inventory accuracy through cycle counts, ad hoc counts, replenishment support, physical inventory activities, discrepancy research, and accurate system documentation. This role also helps maintain Dangerous Goods inventory compliance by verifying records, locations, labels, and escalation needs in accordance with company procedures and applicable requirements.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of warehouse, inventory control, cycle counting, replenishment, receiving, shipping, logistics, or distribution center experience.
  • Experience performing cycle counts, ad hoc counts, replenishment support, physical inventory activities, inventory discrepancy research, or inventory adjustments.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems, ERP systems, RF scanners, spreadsheets, reports, inventory tools, or related documentation systems.
  • Experience identifying, documenting, segregating, counting, or supporting Dangerous Goods inventory with ability to follow applicable transportation safety and company procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled cycle counts, ad hoc counts, recounts, location audits, empty bin checks, directed inventory checks, and physical inventory activities to verify inventory quantity, location accuracy, product identification, lot/serial information when applicable, and system accuracy.
  • Research, investigate, and document inventory discrepancies including shortages, overages, misplaced product, damaged product, incorrect locations, incorrect quantities, missing product, mixed product, transaction errors, adjustments, and supporting evidence.
  • Support replenishment and inventory execution by reviewing replenishment needs, validating product, cartons, pallets, labels, locations, quantities, product status, hold status, damage status, and system records through physical inspection and system review.
  • Partner with receiving, shipping, replenishment, quality, transportation, and operations teams to resolve inventory issues, identify recurring trends, escalate root causes, and maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready inventory locations.
  • Support Dangerous Goods inventory compliance by verifying product identification, location accuracy, labeling, documentation, segregation, handling status, discrepancy escalation, and related records in accordance with company procedures, transportation safety requirements, carrier requirements, and applicable regulations.
