Inventory Control Analyst - Territory 15
About The Position
The Inventory Analyst computes and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining inventory accounting records by performing the following duties. This role involves assisting in activities surrounding inventory control, accounting and analysis, including but not limited to cost control, physical count, perpetual and general ledger accounting, obsolescence and budgeting. The analyst will also assist in identifying, reviewing and determining causes of errors regarding vendor direct shipment invoices, requiring extensive follow-up and correspondence with store managers and vendors to correct these errors and make necessary changes to computer data files. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the review of open transactions via direct interface with the AS400 system and computer-generated reports.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two-year degree in accounting or finance with at least 6 months of related experience/training in accounting.
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information one on one and in small group situations.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
Responsibilities
