About The Position

The Inventory Control Analyst role is responsible for providing reporting and analytics related to maintaining inventory accuracy, performing root cause analysis for variances, trending data, and ensuring compliance with contractual Service Level Agreements/KPIs within an eCommerce Fulfillment Center. The role involves ensuring customer inventory control accuracy and shrink contract requirements are monitored and reported to site leadership. The analyst will participate in the review and analysis of site inventory processes and systems, provide necessary documentation for audits, and develop expertise in the operational and systemic flow of inventory, inventory accuracy metrics, and contractual SLAs/KPIs. Additionally, the role focuses on developing metrics and reporting to provide Operations and Leadership with insights into inventory accuracy, SLA compliance, critical process failures, and the root cause and remediation of aged inventory issues, short shipments, and aged tasks. The analyst will also participate in identifying and resolving variances between the Warehouse Management (WM) system and the customer host system.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent 4 years experience, required
Knowledge of systems such as JDA, Manhattan WMS, DMPLUS, SAP, etc., required

Some knowledge of inventory control or reporting & analysis, preferred

Responsibilities

Ensure customer inventory control accuracy and shrink contract requirements / service level agreements are monitored and reported timely to site leadership
Participate in the review and analysis of site inventory processes and systems
Provide required documentation to customer, customer’s financial statement auditor or appropriate regulatory auditor in support of compliance requirements
Develop subject matter expertise regarding: Operational and systemic flow of inventory through the fulfillment center; Inventory accuracy and supply chain metrics; Contractual service level agreements and associated KPIs
Develop metrics, measurements and reporting to provide Operations and Leadership with better insights into: Inventory Accuracy; Compliance with contractual SLAs/KPIs; Most critical process failures contributing to inventory errors; Cross-functional root cause & remediation of aged: Virtual, Locked and Lost inventory; Short Shipments; Aged Tasks; etc.
Participate in identifying and resolving variance between WM and customer host system
