About The Position

This position supports all Retail company-owned stores, including new stores and acquisitions, with physical inventory audits, inventory adjustments and inventory accuracy. The position is responsible for ensuring Retail store inventories are compliant with all audit requirements. This position supports all Retail company owned stores, all potential dealer acquisitions and all Regional Distribution Centers across North America. The results of the Inventory Control Analysts system adjustments have a direct impact to the financial statements of the Retail and Residential divisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Business or related field with 0-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Works well independently and on teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Retail company-owned store managers, including new stores and acquisitions, in the taking of physical inventory audits during the first half of the fiscal year, and using a third-party inventory vendor during the second half of the fiscal year. This includes, but is not limited to, running inventory reports, instructing managers and the third-party inventory vendor on proper procedures and the proper use of all inventory reports, assisting in the inventory reconciliation, answering any and all questions relating to the inventory process, securing the data for proper audit compliance, and making the proper system adjustments for an accurate perpetual inventory.
  • Ensure proper movement of scan guns used for inventory audits from location to location.
  • Support Retail company-owned stores with questions regarding inventory procedures and inventory accuracy, either through email (managing multiple email inboxes) or phone calls.
  • Assist Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs) with any questions regarding the management of the Retail-owned inventory physically located at the RDCs, moving between stores and the RDC, or moving from store to store through the RDCs. Process Returned Goods Authorizations through the Comfort Care credit process. Process freight claims, third-party protection claims and write-offs.
  • Assist Retail Merchandising/Purchasing with any inventory movement and accuracy questions or tasks needed to keep the perpetual inventory accurate.
  • Performs any special projects as needed.
