About The Position

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for inventory process control and resolution as needed to accomplish Eaton’s overall objectives of providing on-time delivery of quality products. Support and initiate actions with management to ensure that personnel comply to the company’s policies and performance/productivity levels.

Requirements

  • Must have a High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future
  • All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Richmond, VA location. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in inventory control.
  • Ability to work extended hours.
  • Forklift experience

Responsibilities

  • Systematically inspect materials to ensure accurate order fulfillment and production readiness.
  • Review production schedules and generate pick lists for Material Handlers.
  • Audit material movement and prior day stow activity to monitor productivity and ensure SAP accuracy.
  • Perform cycle counts, identify discrepancies between physical inventory and SAP, and drive resolution.
  • Research lost or misplaced material by reviewing SAP transaction history and correcting bin allocations and errors.
  • Monitor transfer log requests, partner with Material Handlers to fulfill requests, and communicate transferred materials to receiving buildings.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with team leads, inventory teams, and production lines to resolve material and inventory issues.
  • Maintain and update inventory records within MRP systems.
  • Develop, document, and improve inventory management procedures.
  • Safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks as required.
