About The Position

Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. This role complies to FDA QSR (21 CFR 820), ISO 13485 requirements and adheres to the Quality Management System (QMS).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and/or GED preferred.
  • One (1) year of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage tight timelines and changing priorities
  • Proficient with Microsoft office applications
  • Knowledge of warehousing and stock control methods and procedures.
  • Knowledge of methods of receiving, inspecting and issuing materials.
  • Knowledge of operation of a forklift and other assigned vehicle and equipment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, equipment and terminology.
  • Knowledge of space utilization and inventory techniques.
  • Knowledge of proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of record-keeping techniques.
  • Knowledge of inventory methods and practices.
  • Knowledge of interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
  • Knowledge of automated warehouse inventory system.
  • Ability to participate in the operations and activities of the Warehouse.
  • Ability to utilize space efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to maintain inventory.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to operate warehouse vehicles, machines and equipment.
  • Ability to receive, issue, store and return warehouse stock and supplies.

  • Ability to learn to operate a computer terminal and warehouse-related software.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare shipments for postal or commercial shipment via various couriers such as FEDEX, UPS, DHL, CEVA, etc.
  • Reviews shipping method against customer requirements and determines most economical and efficient shipping method to meet customer requirements and commitments.
  • Selects appropriate shipping container; packs items to ensure safe delivery and in compliance to company manufacturing process instructions and standard operating instructions.
  • Prepare bills of lading and other shipping documents; checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct
  • Processes necessary shipping paperwork to appropriated Accounting department for payment or for issuance of an invoice.
  • Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing/quality personnel.
  • Check goods received against shipping documents, purchase orders and packing slips to verify correctness of incoming shipments.
  • Sort, count, unpack, re-package, label, and log inventory which is received.
  • Update received shipments in online database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
  • Perform cycle counts.
  • Assist in routing materials to production floor.
  • Assist in reviewing inventory levels and preparing purchase orders.
  • Assist in entering inventory transactions in online system.
  • May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
  • May generate documentation related to inventory items such as RMs, CSRMs, SUs, TLs, CSTLs, etc.
  • Initiates, answers& documents tracking inquiries when requested via email and/or fax.
  • Maintains shipping room is in working order and stocked with necessary packaging materials.
  • Maintains Controlled Inventory and R&D Inventory room to ensure it is in working order and organized.
