The Inventory Clerk will be working alongside our supply chain and procurement team in assisting with the efficient handling and control of inventory. This role is multi-disciplinary with responsibility for receiving incoming inventory, stocking shelves, preparing kits for work orders, picking parts for production or distribution, and conducting cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. We are looking for a team player who views medical device development as a competitive advantage.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with inventory management procedures and practices
  • Basic mathematical skills for counting, measuring, and calculating inventory quantities
  • Ability to operate inventory management software or systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing inventory-related tasks
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and move inventory items as needed

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments of inventory from suppliers or other sources
  • Verify the accuracy of received items against purchase orders or shipping documents
  • Inspect incoming inventory for damage, discrepancies, or quality issues
  • Record received inventory in the inventory management system and update inventory records accordingly
  • Organize and stock inventory items in designated storage locations
  • Ensure that inventory items are stored safely, securely, and in an organized manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in stock store areas
  • Retrieve requested parts or materials from inventory for production, assembly or distribution purposes
  • Follow pick lists, work orders, or instructions to locate and pick the correct items ensuring accuracy and completeness of picked items before distribution or use
  • Prepare kits of parts or components required for specific work orders of production tasks
  • Label kits accurately to ensure proper identification and traceability
  • Conduct and record regular cycle counts of inventory to verify stock levels and accuracy using inventory management software or systems
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during cycle counts and report findings to Senior Manager, Manufacturing & Operations or supervisors
  • Conduct quality control checks on the assembled parts in order to ensure compliance with specifications
