About The Position

Interprint, Inc. is a designer and printer of decor paper used as the design layer in laminate surfaces such as countertops, flooring, furniture, store fixtures and a host of other applications. We have a competitive benefits package. Must be 18 to apply. We are looking for an Inventory Clerk to fill an opening in Pittsfield, MA. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory levels within our company. You will play a vital role in ensuring that inventory is properly tracked, organized, and available when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up to date inventory records, including item descriptions, quantities, locations, and other relevant data using inventory management software or manual systems.
  • Receive incoming work orders and enter them into the system.
  • Close work orders upon completion by Maintenance staff.
  • Receive incoming shipments and compare them against purchase orders or delivery notes.
  • Inspect items for damage, verify quantities, and update inventory records accordingly.
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory audits to verify stock levels and reconcile any discrepancies with recorded data.
  • Regularly monitor inventory levels and stock movements to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Perform regular inventory reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies between physical stock counts and recorded quantities.
  • Analyze inventory data, trends, and patterns to identify opportunities for optimization, cost reduction, or process improvement.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and enhance overall inventory management efficiency.
  • Collaborate with purchasing departments to ensure timely ordering and replenishment of inventory items.
  • Generate regular inventory reports and provide insights on inventory performance, trends, and key metrics to management or relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices related to inventory management.
  • Organize and maintain inventory cage and shop storage areas.
