About The Position

Maintains accurate warehouse inventory. Corrects discrepancies in stock status and book inventory. Audits Receiving, RTV and FE reports as needed to identify and correct errors. Audits other departments, warehouse reports and AS400 options as needed. Audits BI inventory reports and reports findings to management. The inventory auditor reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. Provides a high level of member service.

Requirements

• Accurate warehouse inventory maintenance
• Correction of stock status and book inventory discrepancies
• Auditing of Receiving, RTV, and FE reports
• Auditing of other departments, warehouse reports, and AS400 options
• Auditing of BI inventory reports
• Reporting findings to management
• Research and auditing of accrued merchandise payables, receiving documents, shipping documents
• Verification of vendor payments in SAP
• Review of items sold by department number and item discount documentation
• Counting actual merchandise on the sales floor, in the steel, and in receiving
• Counting jewelry, majors, roadshows, and other high shrink departments and items
• Removing and condensing layers of merchandise from pallets for accuracy
• Keying counts into computer
• Researching variances
• Submitting stock status adjustments to the General Manager
• Submitting claims to Accounting
• Creating computer count sheets
• Keying physical counts in computer
• Auditing Order Online Reports, high end watch discrepancies, unreceived merchandise transfers, and KEM errors
• Auditing item signs for correct item, description, price, and rebate information
• Running and reviewing reports from Costco Intranet system
• Checking BI reports PI by Warehouse and GL Cycle Detail Spreadsheet
• Opening GL Detail in Excel adding filters for research
• Reporting cycle-to-date dollar variance to General Manager and central office
• Auditing biannual warehouse inventory
• Performing Pre-listing and Post-audit duties
• Submitting correction requests to Accounting
• Providing prompt and courteous member service
• Ensuring proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials
• Regular and reliable workplace attendance
• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery

Responsibilities

• Reviews daily and weekly reports of negative on hand items, items in stock without sales, item markdowns, and vendor service claims.
• Researches and audits accrued merchandise payables, receiving documents, shipping documents and verifies vendor payments in SAP.
• Reviews items sold by department number and item discount documentation.
• Counts the actual merchandise on the sales floor, in the steel, and in receiving.
• Counts jewelry, majors, roadshows, and other high shrink departments and items each period.
