Inventory Auditor
About The Position
The Inventory Auditor is responsible for verifying merchandise and cash in Company stores through physical counts using a handheld computer. This role involves identifying and addressing discrepancies such as wrong prices and out-of-code merchandise, as well as verifying various financial assets including cash, money orders, lottery tickets, and bank deposits. The auditor will also verify gasoline inventory and perform surveys to ensure compliance with operational and financial procedures. The position requires working safely, independently, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Travel to different cities for audits is a key part of the role, with occasional overnight travel possible.
Requirements
- Requires 1 year of inventory auditing experience or retail experience in a convenience store environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with no major offenses and current liability car insurance.

Responsibilities
- Verifies merchandise and cash in each of the Company stores by conducting a physical count using a hand held computer.
- Notifies store manager of wrong prices and pulls out-of-code merchandise.
- Count and verify cash assets on site.
- Verifies money orders, lottery ticket inventory and bank deposits.
- Verifies gasoline inventory.
- Performs surveys to verify compliance with operational and financial procedures.
- Works in safe manner by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
- Able to work independently with little supervision.
- Performs multi-tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
