About The Position

Morgan & Morgan is a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful. Our Complex Litigation practice represents tens of thousands of clients each year in actions against some of the largest companies in the U.S. The Inventory Attorney will perform a wide range of litigation support functions, leveraging their legal training to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across matters. The Inventory Attorney will be dedicated to coordinating workstreams within an assigned tort, maintaining deadline controls (pre- and post-filing), and mentoring paralegals/case managers to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables. This position can be performed from any of our offices across the United States.

  • Strong understanding of federal and state litigation procedures, including motion practice, discovery, trial, and appellate processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • JD required
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience supporting litigation matters in a law firm or comparable legal environment.
  • Admission to at least one U.S. state bar required

Nice To Haves

  • Substantial experience with complex litigation strongly preferred.
  • Experience mentoring and supervising others strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience using CM/ECF, PACER, Westlaw, and Litify.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the requirements, developments, and legal strategy for each litigation and translate the litigation requirements in operational activities, strategies and priorities
  • Maintain deadline controls across case inventory and ensure escalation protocols are followed.
  • Drive filing readiness at scale by ensuring documentation and required pre-filing information supports timely filing decisions and strategic case selection.
  • Deliver a world-class client experience anchored on trust, empathy, and insight by keeping clients informed, managing client expectations, and responding to client inquiries.
  • Assist the Chief Operations Counsel with coordinating and assigning tasks to paralegals and case managers while ensuring quality, timely completion of inventory and filing-readiness tasks.
  • Oversee court rules and order compliance, filing protocols, and service processes to ensure accurate, timely filings and adherence to jurisdiction-specific requirements.
  • Manage and support post-filing litigation requirements operationally as needed, including pleadings support, motion practice workflows, discovery execution, and trial preparation support.
  • Oversee discovery workflow execution (tracking responses, deficiency follow-ups, and supplementation schedules) to maintain compliance and consistency across cases at scale.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and internal departments to develop efficient procedures and improve litigation support workflows, including standardization and continuous improvement across high-volume inventory.
  • Mentor, train, and provide substantive guidance to legal support staff, strengthening procedural knowledge, issue-spotting, and overall performance.
