Inventory Associate (Per Diem)

About The Position
The Inventory Associate secures quality food and supplies from authorized and approved vendors. The role maintains proper storage, stock rotation, and security measures while following HACCP, regulatory, and departmental requirements. It validates purchase orders and delivery invoices for items received, specified quality, ordered quantities, and price extensions.

- Must be able to read and speak English.
Responsibilities
- Maintains adequate levels of food and supplies for delivery and/or pickup and rotates inventory according to FIFO procedures to avoid contamination.
- Keeps the work area clean and uncluttered, storing supplies orderly according to HACCP and regulatory guidelines to protect colleagues and hospital assets.
- Orders, receives, stores, delivers, and documents food items and supplies according to departmental policies and procedures, ensuring the accuracy of supplies received and delivered.
- Inspects goods received to ensure required safety standards are met.
- Immediately escalates safety concerns to Food and Nutrition leadership.
- Attends and actively participates in departmental meetings and in-services to promote continuous quality improvement.
- Performs other related duties as required.
