About The Position

Kent Quality Foods is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory and Production Scheduling Analyst to support plant performance through accurate inventory control, effective production scheduling, and strong cross-functional communication. This role is based at our Quincy location and plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production readiness, and helping ensure customer demand is met efficiently.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in inventory management, inventory control, supply chain, production planning, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using ERP/WMS systems required; Microsoft Business Central or Just Foods experience preferred.
  • Food manufacturing or regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, charting, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, organization, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Occasional flexibility with working hours, including Saturday work approximately once per month, to support inventory counts.

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, operations management, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, components, and finished goods within ERP/WMS systems.
  • Support daily inventory control activities, including cycle counts, inventory adjustments, lot tracking, material movements, and reconciliation.
  • Investigate inventory variances, identify root causes, and partner with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Create, maintain, and communicate production schedules aligned with customer demand, inventory targets, labor capacity, equipment availability, and material constraints.
  • Monitor finished goods inventory levels and recommend schedule adjustments to reduce stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolete product risk.
  • Track and analyze key production and scheduling metrics, including schedule adherence, attainment, inventory coverage, and service-related risks.
  • Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality, Finance, Customer Service, and Supply Chain leadership to resolve issues and communicate changes.
