About The Position

King Ranch, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Analyst to join their team. This role involves partnering with vendors to negotiate pricing, manage order status, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely deliveries. The Inventory Analyst will track product and category performance, translating data into purchasing recommendations, and monitoring stock levels with Allocation and Planning teams. Collaboration with Product Development/Sourcing is key to moving products from concept to production, ensuring specifications, timelines, and quality standards are met. The role also focuses on strengthening vendor relationships, evaluating new opportunities, and maintaining organized records. The Inventory Analyst will manage purchase order execution, ensuring accuracy across internal systems, and prepare sales and performance reports for leadership. Additionally, the role supports the Sr. Director of Merchandising in executing category strategy to align with King Ranch's brand positioning.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in merchandising, buying, planning, or retail operations, ideally within Men’s Apparel and Outdoor/Hunt categories
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate sales and inventory data into actionable recommendations.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear, professional communication and follow-through when working with vendors and cross-functional partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and retail management systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Occasional travel for trade shows or vendor visits as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with vendors to negotiate pricing, confirm order status, resolve discrepancies, and manage delivery timelines.
  • Track product and category performance, translating sales and inventory data into clear purchasing and reorder recommendations.
  • Partner with Allocation and Planning to monitor stock levels, replenishment needs, and unit flow by category and channel.
  • Collaborate with Product Development/Sourcing to move products from concept through production, ensuring specifications, timelines, and quality standards are met.
  • Work with Vendor Partners to strengthen relationships, evaluate new opportunities, and ensure consistent execution against brand and quality standards.
  • Maintain organized records and follow-up actions from vendor and cross-functional meetings.
  • Manage purchase order execution, including data entry, pricing, and product categorization, ensuring accuracy across internal systems.
  • Compile and prepare sales and performance reporting for leadership review, with a point of view on what the data is signaling.
  • Support the Sr. Director of Merchandising in executing category strategy, ensuring product decisions align with King Ranch's positioning as a ranch, hunt, and outdoor lifestyle brand.
