About The Position

The Inventory Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring inventory accuracy, SOX compliance, and process integrity across Fanatics Brands' U.S. operations and third-party partner network. The Inventory Analyst supports the Inventory Integrity team at Fanatics Brands by monitoring inventory accuracy, traceability, and control across U.S. operations and third-party partners, turning findings into sustainable process and system improvements. Working closely with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Distribution, and Technology, this role ensures inventory transactions are recorded accurately, classified appropriately, and supported by effective SOX controls — while also contributing to transformational initiatives including new ERP and inventory-management capabilities. The Inventory Analyst delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in inventory analysis, supply chain, operations, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze multiple data sources and business processes, identify patterns, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and SUMIFS or comparable formulas.
  • Experience with cycle-count programs, ERP or warehouse-management systems, inventory controls, or SOX compliance preferred; familiarity with business intelligence or reporting platforms such as MicroStrategy and AI-enabled analytical tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across functions.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 15–20% to support inventory audits and the rollout of new processes or systems.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS certification in inventory management, supply chain, or a related discipline is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Distribution, and Technology to ensure inventory transactions are captured accurately and classified correctly for financial reporting.
  • Develop end-to-end process expertise and translate findings into standard operating procedures, control enhancements, training materials, and cross-functional process improvements that elevate team performance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the rollout of new processes, systems, and controls — including leading cycle-counting and reconciliation activities for key third-party contractors.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and timely financial reporting so that fan demand is met reliably across Fanatics Brands' broad network of channels and partners.
  • Provide business partners with clear, actionable insights that improve inventory accuracy, accountability, and operational performance — directly supporting the availability of fan gear when and where it's needed.
  • Support cycle-count programs and reconciliation activities that give commercial teams confidence in inventory positions, enabling faster and more accurate fulfillment decisions.
  • Contribute to ERP and inventory-management system transitions that modernize how Fanatics Brands tracks and delivers product to fans at scale.
  • Identify high-risk operational processes and recommend practical process, control, and technology solutions that reduce inventory discrepancy and compliance exposure.
  • Use advanced analytical tools — including emerging AI capabilities, Excel, and business intelligence platforms such as MicroStrategy — to manage and interpret high-volume SKU and location data.
  • Establish and maintain a framework for inventory monitoring and control across internal and external facilities, incorporating aging and activity analysis, risk indicators, audits, and cycle-count programs.
  • Support the new ERP transition and other inventory-control projects through analysis, testing, implementation, and post-launch stabilization, driving continuous improvement across the inventory ecosystem.
  • Develop, implement, document, and monitor cross-functional inventory processes and controls that support SOX compliance, taking full accountability for the accuracy and sustainability of those controls.
  • Analyze and reconcile inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, quantify business impact, and drive corrective actions through to resolution — ensuring durable fixes rather than temporary patches.
  • Recommend inventory reserves when appropriate and ensure controls, cycle counts, reconciliations, and reporting provide reliable support for SOX compliance and financial close activities.
  • Travel approximately 15–20% to support inventory audits and the rollout of new processes or systems, demonstrating a relentless commitment to getting it right in the field.
  • Apply AI and technology to improve efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
  • Use data and digital tools to inform decisions and enhance performance.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability in adopting new technologies and ways of working.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
