Requirements

3-5 years of business-related experience within the metals industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
Team-oriented with a proactive, customer-focused mindset.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Analyze customer forecasts and inventory trends to maintain optimal stock levels.
Review purchase orders placed by Corporate Purchasing and coordinate transfer shipments between branch locations.
Monitor and manage aging inventory to maximize inventory performance.
Review open purchase orders and determine opportunities to cancel, delay, or expedite orders based on business needs.
Evaluate and process mill overages, including determining acceptance and disposition.
Maintain inventory reserves and update stock screen memos.
Partner with transportation and logistics teams to ensure timely material movement.
Provide backup support to the Sales team when needed.
Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
