The Inventory Allocator is responsible for locating, evaluating, tagging, staging product for shipment and communicating to appropriate parties on rejected product.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum one (1) year forklift experience required
- Some computer knowledge required
- Excellent analytical, time management and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment; possess a strong attention to detail
- Steel-toed shoes are required
Nice To Haves
- post-secondary education preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year inventory management and/or quality assurance experience in the produce industry preferred
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, Food Safety preferred
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), ERP software, FAMOUS® preferred
Responsibilities
- Locate, evaluate, tag and stage product to prepare for shipping and fulfilment of customer orders
- Monitor inventory levels and quality of product to ensure levels meet customer requirements and specifications
- Liaise with commodities, shipping, production, receiving and food safety departments concerning inbound product needed or quality issues on outbound product; investigate and take corrective action
- Complete end of shift report detailing what product has been marked and staged
- Ensure the health, safety, and cleanliness of the work environment
- Other core expectations as defined by the company
