Inventory Allocation Manager

NewAge Products Inc CA,
CA$90,000 - CA$110,000Hybrid

About The Position

NewAge Products is on a high growth trajectory, and to support that, a key priority is to make our inventory allocation smarter, faster, and more profitable. The Inventory Allocation Manager will lead that transformation. This role will spearhead the process, technology, and metrics required to balance retail partner expectations, the buying experience on the NewAge website, as well as overall business profitability. The successful candidate will thrive in an ambiguous, high-growth environment and will challenge the status quo through a mix of analytical reasoning, deep systems knowledge, and stakeholder trust.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in inventory allocation, merchandise planning, or supply chain operations within a multi-channel retail or e-commerce environment.
  • Solid understanding of inventory and financial metrics – COGS, OTB, turns, periods of supply, service levels, fill rates – and how allocation decisions flow through sales, margin, and customer experience.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills: you can translate a supply chain concept into a data science / development BRD. You can stand your ground and justify your stance in situations of conflicting priorities.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data extraction, analysis, and automation.
  • Self-sufficient in data reporting applications like Power Query / Power Pivot, familiarity with Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP or similar), order management workflows, and EDI/API integrations.
  • A track record of replacing manual processes with automated, scalable solutions – even if those solutions started as simple scripts or macros.
  • Self-directed with a bias for action; comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving projects from concept to execution across multiple stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to machine learning concepts (supervised learning, time-series forecasting, clustering) through coursework, personal projects, or on-the-job experimentation.
  • Familiarity with optimization libraries, solvers, or scenario-modelling techniques for supply chain problems.
  • Hands-on use of AI-assisted productivity tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) for code generation, data analysis, or documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end inventory allocation program across all channels – balancing in-stock rates, profitability, delivery promise, and retailer commitments. Use data and rapport to communicate program health and prioritize initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain allocation performance metrics and dashboards, partnering with operations, demand planning, supply planning, sales, and customer service to drive continuous improvement.
  • Be the single-threaded leader to develop our next-generation inventory allocation logic – driving the project with technology, sales, planning, and operations stakeholders.
  • Lead a team of allocation coordinators to manage day-to-day inventory allocations, exceptions, reporting, and inventory audits.
  • Identify manual, repetitive allocation workflows and systematically automate them – starting with scripting and rules engines, and progressively introducing machine-learning models.
  • Lead our Promise to Delivery (P2D) program that ensures the full order journey respects the delivery promise expectations. Own the program metrics and drive stakeholder actions towards incremental wins.
  • Experiment with AI/ML approaches (e.g., demand-sensing models, optimization solvers, anomaly detection) to improve allocation accuracy – you don’t need to be an expert today, but you should be eager to become one.
  • Design and deploy automated monitoring agents that flag phantom inventory, missing SKUs, and data-integrity issues across our e-commerce and retail feeds in near-real-time.
  • Lead scenario planning for major promotional events (Black Friday, Summer sales) – using data-driven simulations to call out risks, lead proactive solutions across the supply chain, and adjust allocations based on real-time sell-through.
  • Collaborate with retail partners and the account management team to translate allocation commitments into system-enforced rules, reducing manual overrides and driving sell-through accountability.
  • Own documentation of allocation logic as repeatable, version-controlled processes (code, configuration, runbooks) rather than tribal knowledge.
