About The Position
Under direct supervision, performs work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to perform procedures on patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic, Cardiac interventional or Electrophysiology procedures. Provides technical support in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular disease. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values. Requirements
- Technical Degree or Diploma Respiratory Therapy
- Cath Lab 1-3 years
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist - Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association

Responsibilities
- Assists physician/surgeon during cardiovascular diagnostic, cardiovascular interventional or electrophysiology procedures.
- Must be available for on-call if required in designated area and respond within the designated time frame for emergency procedures.
- Performs a variety of testing to assist with diagnosis and treatment.
- Documents care delivered in the patient’s medical record in accordance with policy and procedure for the department.
- Provides day-to-day direction and guidance to cath lab technologists in assigned area.
- Responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.
- Provides support in the preparation, care, maintenance, and availability of cath lab or electrophysiology supplies and equipment.
