Requirements
- Associate degree
- Certified Registered Radiology Technologist (RRT)
- Certified in basic life support.
- 5 year’s experience in special procedures, radiographic imaging or equivalent.
- Experience in advanced life support and surgical techniques.
Nice To Haves
- Previous cardiac catheterization, invasive vascular, and/or electrophysiology laboratory experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists with evaluation, preparation, and after care of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, invasive vascular, or electrophysiology procedures.
- Prepares, calibrates and operates all equipment used during procedures, including physiologic recorder, x-ray equipment, film processor and life support equipment.
- Performs quality assurance and maintains related documentation for x-ray equipment, film processor and lead aprons.
- Monitors documentation related to radiation exposure of HVIL staff.
- Monitors records, processes and interprets intracardiac pressures & electrocardiographic signals during procedures.
