About The Position

Florida Atlantic University is seeking several Intramural Sports Officials for the Boca Raton, FL campus. This role involves officiating designated Intramural Sports, scorekeeping, ensuring the security of participants, spectators, facility, and equipment, and assisting the Sport Programs Supervisor with various logistical and administrative tasks. The position also requires providing positive public relations, program promotion, and policy education, as well as assisting with emergency situations and managing game equipment.

Requirements

• FAU degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (or twelve if international) and a 2.0 GPA required.

Responsibilities

• Officiate designated Intramural Sports.
• Ability to score keep designated sports.
• Ensure security of participants, spectators, facility, & equipment.
• Assist the Sport Programs Supervisor with pre and post-game logistics and administrative functions.
• Assist the Sport Programs Supervisor with checking in teams and verifying eligibility.
• Professionally and proactively assist participants with disputes and minor problems.
• Providing positive public relations, program promotion, and policy education to staff & participants.
• Assist with emergency situations and evacuations, as they arise.
• Manage game equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• OFFICIAL SEALED TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED: Final candidate will be required to have official, sealed transcripts and original NACES evaluation, if applicable, sent from their educational institution to Human Resources prior to the start of employment.
• PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENINGS REQUIRED: Selected candidates must successfully complete and pass all employment screenings prior to the start of employment.
