Under general supervision, the Interventionist (RTI) prepares for, assesses, and instructs individuals and small groups of students in support of the school's Response to Intervention (RtI) program. This role involves collaboration with administrators, instructional coaches, school counselors, school psychologists, parents, and teachers to identify strategies for helping struggling students and meeting their diverse learning styles. The position supports and upholds the mission, vision, and strategic goals of Lexington County School District One to improve student outcomes. Key responsibilities include establishing a safe and productive learning environment, maintaining confidentiality, participating in professional development, and managing instructional materials. The role also involves monitoring and assisting with student testing, progress monitoring, and data entry for the RtI program. Planning and delivering instruction to individual students and small groups, setting academic and behavior goals, and communicating progress to the RtI team and parents are crucial aspects of this position. The Interventionist will also collaborate with colleagues to address student needs and maintain appropriate documentation.
