The Early Interventionist works with children birth to 36 months of age who have been found eligible to receive services through the Key Infant Development Services (K.I.D.S.) Program. Each early interventionist is assigned families eligible for infant development. Infant Development is a home-based, family-focused service that provides information, support, and training for families to assist them in meeting their child’s needs. The primary early intervention provider works directly with the parents to train them in carrying out priorities/outcomes, criteria, and age-appropriate activities within a child’s natural environment and daily routines as indicated by the child’s I.F.S.P. Travel in an eight-county area to the child’s home is required as services are completed at the child’s residence. This position supports the mission and organizational goals of HIT.
