About The Position

This role is for an Interventional Technologist in the Cardiac Cath Lab at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. The position is full-time, days. The technologist will prepare and position patients, administer contrast media and medications, observe patients during procedures, and follow radiation safety procedures. They will also perform specialized imaging procedures and assist the Radiologist/PA, ensuring compliance with regulatory agency standards.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity.
• Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
