About The Position

This is an excellent training opportunity for new graduates or ARRT-certified professionals seeking a long-term career in Interventional Radiology (IR). The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health network is a partnership between Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin supporting a shared mission of patient care, innovation, medical research and education. Our health network operates eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center and adult Level I Trauma center engaged in thousands of clinical trials and studies. The Froedtert & MCW health network, which includes ten hospitals, nearly 2,000 physicians and more than 45 health centers and clinics draw patients from throughout the Midwest and the nation.

Requirements

  • Completion of (minimum) a 2-year, approved, program in Radiologic Technology is required.
  • ARRT registered and current State of Wisconsin license as a Radiographer required.
  • Advanced certification through ARRT in ARRT-CI or ARRT-CV or ARRT-VI is required within 12 months of hire.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in an IR or Cath Lab setting or completion of the FMLH IR Internship is preferred.
  • Additional technical courses and experience with progressive responsibility and experience in IR/NIR and or Cath Lab is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the operation of interventional radiographic and related diagnostic and therapeutic equipment/supplies.
  • Strong mainframe and PC skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assists physicians with performance of interventional radiographic and related procedures for diagnostic interpretation and/or therapeutic interventions.
  • Responsible for preparation, documentation of inventory of materials, supplies and coding used for interventional radiology services.
