About The Position

The Interventional Special Procedures Technologist supports interventional procedures in the specialties of radiology, vascular surgery and neuro intervention. Procedure work will include, but not limited to, interventional body, interventional neuro and interventional vascular. Procedure setting will include, but not limited to, Interventional Radiology, Cath lab, hybrid room, operating room and outpatient procedure rooms. This position is responsible for all radiographic procedures and their quality control within interventional, neuro interventional and vascular specialties, assists physicians as a scrub tech, etc.

Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of formal training program in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements of an appropriate State and/or Federal mandated certification or equivalent.
  • 1 Year experience as a radiologic technologist in one or more of the following areas: interventional radiology, vascular interventional surgery, cardiovascular radiology, or with fluoroscopy procedures.
  • ARRT Certificate - ARRT -REQUIRED
  • Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy Permit - CA Department of Public Health -REQUIRED
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) - CA Department of Public Health -REQUIRED
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED
  • Venipuncture Certification - Various-Employee provides certificate -REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree in a related field of study.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Vascular Intervention) certification ARRT(VI) - PREFERRED
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with scrubbing in and sterile environment procedures preferred.
