About The Position

This position is for a Radiology Technologist in EP/cath lab. The shift is 4 -10hr shifts from 06:30 to 17:00. There is an on-call weekend and holiday rotation, and the technologist must live within a 30-minute response time. Requirements

  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
  • Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
  • Knowledge of sterile technique and supplies used during interventional exams.
  • Active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist.
  • May be required to obtain advanced credential in interventional radiography, if applicable.

  • Experience as a radiologic technologist, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists radiologist/interventionalist in interventional procedures including acting as scrub tech where appropriate.
  • Adheres to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Follows radiation safety protocols and is aware of patient dose alert levels and escalation procedure.
  • Understands and has knowledge of complex procedures.
  • Demonstrates ability to determine appropriate supplies for procedure and sets up sterile field.
  • Possesses advanced knowledge of cross sectional and vascular anatomy.
  • Communicates and works effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team (critical care, ED, Trauma, IP, OP, Nursing, Oncology, Transplant, GI, Neurosurgery, etc).
  • Documents necessary information in EMR.
