About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in producing high-quality radiologic images while collaborating effectively with team members to ensure exceptional patient care.

Requirements

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in the field.
New York State License (or eligibility to obtain prior to start).
ARRT certification is required.

Nice To Haves

Vascular Interventional Radiology (VIR) Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors and positioning to consistently produce diagnostic-quality radiologic images.
Instruct and prepare patients for examinations while assisting the Radiologist during procedures.
Show proficiency in operating all relevant equipment and report any malfunctions to the manager or lead.
Complete assigned procedures efficiently and assist with department operations between procedures, including room turnover.
Maintain medication security, ensuring that access is limited to authorized personnel.
Provide healthcare services competently across all age groups.
Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
Utilize the Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS proficiently.
Engage in hospital performance improvement activities and initiatives as needed.
Maintain confidentiality by safeguarding personal access credentials and patient care information.
Respond to technical inquiries from physicians and hospital personnel, ensuring professional phone etiquette is maintained.
