Interventional Radiology Technologist - Full Time - Days - Weill Cornell
About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join their team. This role involves operating specialized Angiography equipment within the lab and supporting minimally invasive procedures for patient diagnosis. While not a supervisory role, the technologist plays a critical part in maintaining quality and assisting with complex cases. The position is full-time, day shift, based at NYP/Weill Cornell Hospital. The schedule includes a training period of 6-7 months (Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.), followed by a transition to either a 5-day or 4-day work week with varying hours. The department does not operate on weekends or holidays, with a separate call team providing coverage. All employees are expected to live within a commutable distance to NYP, and travel expenses will not be reimbursed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiology
- New York State License in Radiologic Technology
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of vascular anatomy/terminology and interventional equipment
- Knowledge of sterile techniques and barriers
