About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Columbus, Ohio. This position is ideal for an imaging professional with at least 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology experience who is comfortable supporting image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a fast-paced acute-care hospital environment. The technologist will work closely with interventional radiologists, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other members of the procedural team to support safe, efficient, and accurate patient care. Candidates must have current ARRT certification, BLS, ACLS, and strong hands-on experience with Siemens imaging equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology experience
  • Current ARRT certification
  • Current BLS
  • Current ACLS
  • Strong experience operating Siemens imaging equipment
  • Experience supporting invasive image-guided procedures
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety and sterile technique
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
  • Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
  • Ability to participate in required call coverage

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, imaging equipment, supplies, and sterile fields.
  • Position patients accurately for image-guided procedures.
  • Operate Siemens imaging equipment safely and effectively.
  • Obtain high-quality diagnostic and procedural images.
  • Support a variety of vascular and nonvascular interventional procedures.
  • Maintain sterile technique throughout invasive procedures.
  • Assist with vascular access equipment, catheters, guidewires, and other procedural supplies.
  • Monitor procedural workflow and anticipate physician and team needs.
  • Support patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
  • Participate in procedural time-outs and safety checks.
  • Follow radiation safety standards and appropriate protective practices.
  • Maintain accurate procedural documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nurses, technologists, and other clinical staff.
  • Respond appropriately during urgent or emergency procedural situations.
  • Maintain compliance with infection-control, patient-safety, and regulatory standards.
