As an Interventional Radiologist Technologist you need to know how to: Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Order and stock supplies, clean rooms, and equipment to maintain work environment. Competent with all equipment related to patient care including the IR scanner, patient monitors, and all patient records management systems. Prepare exam room communicates with patient, obtain informed consent, and requests an accurate clinical history as necessary for the exam. Review patient history and determines proper selection of protocols. Perform a variety of IR procedures with minimal guidance. Start IV’s, perform IV contrast injections, and monitor patients receiving an injection per hospital policy. Your experience. We hire people, not resumes. Requirements

  • Knowledge of vascular anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variants
  • Thorough knowledge of radiation safety
  • Valid ARRT (R)(CV/VI) registration required
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required
