About The Position

This position is for a Radiology Technologist in EP/cath lab. The schedule is a 4-10hr shift from 0630-1700, with on-call weekend and holiday rotation. Candidates must live within a 30-minute response time. The role involves assisting the radiologist/interventionalist in interventional procedures, including acting as a scrub tech when appropriate. Adherence to all safety and infection control protocols is crucial for ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff. The technologist must follow radiation safety protocols, be aware of patient dose alert levels, and understand escalation procedures. Knowledge of complex procedures, sterile technique, and supplies used during interventional exams is required. The ability to determine appropriate supplies for procedures and set up a sterile field is necessary. Advanced knowledge of cross-sectional and vascular anatomy is expected. Effective communication and collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team (including critical care, ED, Trauma, IP, OP, Nursing, Oncology, Transplant, GI, Neurosurgery, etc.) is essential. Documentation in the EMR is also a key responsibility. Requirements

  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
  • Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
  • Requires knowledge of sterile technique and supplies used during interventional exams.
  • Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist.
  • Must live within 30 min response time.

Nice To Haves

  • May be required to obtain advanced credential in interventional radiography, if applicable.
  • Experience as a radiologic technologist, preferred.
