The Invasive Labs Radiology Technologist works closely with the interventional proceduralist to perform cardiovascular imaging and interventional radiology procedures. Performing in various roles to include, but not limited to, physiologic monitoring, circulating, scrubbing, operating the radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to produce the images of the procedure and those duties specific to licensure, certification, and/or registration. Assist during invasive procedures which may include cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, special procedures, interventional radiology procedures and/or electrophysiology studies at the direction of the invasive proceduralist. Operate fluoroscopy and other radiologic imaging equipment to provide real-time visuals during procedures. Monitor and record patient vital signs and physiological responses throughout procedures if needed. Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. Maintain sterile technique and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and functioning. Calibrate and troubleshoot imaging and monitoring equipment. Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed, including proper use of lead aprons and dosimeters. Document procedure details accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). Maintain inventory of supplies and notify appropriate personnel of low stock or equipment issues. On-Call requirement.
