About The Position

The Invasive Labs Radiology Technologist works closely with the interventional proceduralist to perform cardiovascular imaging and interventional radiology procedures. Performing in various roles to include, but not limited to, physiologic monitoring, circulating, scrubbing, operating the radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to produce the images of the procedure and those duties specific to licensure, certification, and/or registration. Assist during invasive procedures which may include cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, special procedures, interventional radiology procedures and/or electrophysiology studies at the direction of the invasive proceduralist. Operate fluoroscopy and other radiologic imaging equipment to provide real-time visuals during procedures. Monitor and record patient vital signs and physiological responses throughout procedures if needed. Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. Maintain sterile technique and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and functioning. Calibrate and troubleshoot imaging and monitoring equipment. Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed, including proper use of lead aprons and dosimeters. Document procedure details accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). Maintain inventory of supplies and notify appropriate personnel of low stock or equipment issues. On-Call requirement.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Allied Health (Required)
  • Radiation Safety Knowledge
  • Attention to detail, Strong teamwork and professionalism
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, sterile technique, radiologic imaging and equipment
  • On-Call requirements with 30 minute response time per department needs and schedule.
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire Required
  • Unrestricted license from ODH Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) BLS Certification Required

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of basic EKG Arrhythmia course Upon Hire Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates proficiency, competency, and knowledge in diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures and their associated equipment.
  • Document and maintain accurate patient records in EMR, procedure logs and required documentation. Including competency in hemodynamic monitoring if required for the position.
  • Participates in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, adhering to radiation safety and infection control standards. Maintain current certifications and licensure as required. Competent in sterile technique.
  • Collaborate with proceduralists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and/or families undergoing invasive procedures.

  • $17,500 for those with less than 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath, Interventional, Electrophysiology, or Specials. (One-year work commitment)
  • $35,000 for those with more than 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath, Interventional, Electrophysiology, or Specials. (Two-year work commitment)
