About The Position

University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 200 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year. The University Radiology Vascular and Interventional Center, our newly established office-based lab, opened in Warren, NJ in April 2026! We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and licensed Per Diem Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to join our growing team at this new state-of-the-art facility! In this Per-Diem role, the Interventional Technologist will be working in a modern, patient-focused environment while supporting both clinical operations and practice marketing efforts.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with licensure in the state of New Jersey.
  • Documented experience in interventional radiology or a similar procedural setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Strong patient care, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • ARRT registration within Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) preferred.
  • Willingness to take part in operational improvement and marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist interventional physicians with a wide range of image-guided vascular and non-vascular procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Manage patient flow during procedures, including pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure recovery support.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate procedure documentation.
  • Support daily clinic operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and patient coordination.
  • Participate in clinic outreach and marketing activities to help grow practice visibility and referral relationships.
  • Uphold all regulatory and institutional safety protocols.
  • May be required to perform duties in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment and must be able to adhere to all department and facility safety protocols.
