About The Position

Perform high-impact cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, delivering precision imaging that directly supports life-saving cardiac patient care. Prepare and position patients for complex vascular and nonvascular interventions, selecting exact technical parameters that drive procedural accuracy and critical clinical outcomes. Administer contrast media within scope of practice while vigilantly monitoring patient responses, rapidly reporting changes that can save lives in emergent situations. Implement rigorous radiation safety and compliance standards to protect patients and staff while advancing continuous quality improvement in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Collaborate closely with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and accurate clinical documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date OR Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date OR Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Vascular Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Interventional Radiography and Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography also accepted.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
