About The Position
Under the general direction of a physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), the Interventional Radiology Tech assists with procedures by scrubbing or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. The role ensures the procedure room is adequately prepared and monitors par levels of instruments and supplies. The technologist assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures, participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities, and helps train new staff.
Requirements
- ARRT-R certification and state licensure as required.
- BCLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
- ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Proficient computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) certification preferred.
- Previous experience in an Interventional Radiology department preferred.
Responsibilities
