About The Position

As an Interventional Radiology Tech at St. Vincent, you will help patients and medical teams perform intricate radiological procedures to diagnose and treat medical conditions. You will operate radiological equipment and assist during interventional procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety while delivering high-quality images and data to support diagnosis and treatment planning. The role requires extensive knowledge of radiological equipment and techniques, and effective communication with patients and medical professionals.

The position also involves interpreting clinical information to meet patients’ radiology needs, carefully monitoring radiation exposure time and activity, routinely applying sterile techniques and quality safety practices, and troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to help avoid failures.

Requirements

• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire.
• Medical Radiographer: AR, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
• Extensive knowledge of radiological equipment and techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with patients and medical professionals.
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as a licensed X-Ray Technician.

Responsibilities
