About The Position

UPMC Presbyterian is seeking a full-time Interventional Radiology Technologist to join their highly skilled IR team. This role involves working a daylight Monday-Friday schedule with rotating evenings, weekends, holidays, and holiday call coverage, requiring a 30-minute response time during call shifts. UPMC Presbyterian is a Level I Trauma Center and home to the region's only Trauma in Pregnancy Center, offering a fast-paced environment with cutting-edge technology where imaging professionals make a life-saving difference.

Requirements

Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.
ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Administer contrast under protocol and support physicians during interventional procedures.
Demonstrate expert positioning and radiographic techniques for a wide range of IR exams.
Review patient history and physician orders to ensure accurate, high-quality imaging.
Document patient information in the electronic medical record with accuracy and attention to detail.
Ensure all studies are properly coded, tracked, archived, and charged within RIS and ISITE systems.
Collaborate seamlessly with IR colleagues and other departments to expedite patient care.
Provide support for general radiographic procedures when needed.
