About The Position

The Neuro Special Procedures Department at Texas Health Plano is seeking a passionate Interventional Radiology/Neuro Tech to join their team. This role involves performing complex procedures, assisting radiologists, and ensuring high-quality imaging. The department features a newly built Second Hybrid Neuro room, offers Comprehensive Stroke Certification, and provides opportunities for cross-training within Heart & Vascular. Employer-sponsored specialty certification for Interventional Radiology is available for enhanced training and professional development.

Requirements

Associate Degree Applied Science required OR Completion of accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology required Or High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology required.
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
ACLS—Advanced Cardiac Life Support—within 90 days of hire required

Nice To Haves

1 year of vascular or cardiac angiography preferred.
GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist If ARRT Only Upon Hire preferred
RCIS—Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist—Obtain within 6 months of hire if graduated from Cardiovascular Accredited Program
LMRT—Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist—If you have RCIS certification only

Responsibilities

Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam.
Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
