About The Position

The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Interventional Radiology. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in lymphatic interventions. The IR Division at Penn has considerable depth of expertise, performing more than 15,000 procedures annually. More than half of them are therapeutic, covering every aspect of the field. Penn Interventional Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Requirements

• M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
• American Board of Radiology certified with CAQ.
• Completion of fellowship training in Interventional Radiology or completion of a residency in Interventional Radiology.

Nice To Haves

• Extensive experience in lymphatic interventions.

Responsibilities

• Performing minimally invasive image-guided interventional procedures.
• Performing and/or overseeing interventional studies and consultations with patients and referring physicians.
• Focusing on lymphatic interventions, with 50% of clinical time devoted to lymphatics.
• Participating in the Interventional Radiology off-hours on call program, including evening, night and weekend coverage.
• Daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during procedures and conferences.
• Participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical subspecialties.
• Teaching medical students rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
• Preparing learning materials and lectures, teaching posters and presentations for national review.
