About The Position

We are seeking an Interventional Radiologist for ongoing coverage needs due to a long-term permanent search. This is a part-time position covering Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekends or call coverage required. The role involves procedures and possible diagnostic readings, with an average of 6-8 cases per day. The Interventional Radiologist will work closely with RRA/RPAs and must be proficient in procedures including lung and renal ablations, AAA endo stents, renal vascular stents, embolizations, IVC removals, and percutaneous gastrostomy tubes. APP coverage is available, and emergency or after-hours/weekends patients are transferred. The patient population includes Adult and Geriatric patients. The EMR system used is EPIC. Credentialing typically takes 60 days.

Requirements

  • Active Pennsylvania licensure
  • Board certification in Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the AOA/ABR
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 1-year Interventional Radiology experience or equivalent
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of system disorders in adults.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, CT scans and blood tests.
  • Perform procedures to diagnose and treat digestive conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Manage chronic conditions and provide ongoing patient care.
  • Collaborate with other specialists when needed to ensure coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients.
  • Stay current on the latest advancements in specialty through continuing education.
