About The Position

UMass Memorial Medical Group is seeking a talented Interventional Radiologist to join one of the region's most innovative and rapidly expanding academic radiology programs. The Department of Radiology is one of the largest and most comprehensive academic radiology programs in the Northeast, featuring approximately 100 radiologists across all subspecialties, 28 residents (including integrated IR/DR trainees), 10 fellows, 25 dedicated research faculty, 5 full-time educators, and robust APP support. Physicians have access to exceptional infrastructure designed to support innovation and discovery, including two new Philips Azurion angiography suites, dedicated 3T research MRI, a 7T small-animal MRI platform, clinical trials and image-processing core facilities, and nationally recognized leadership in clinical AI implementation. As a faculty member, you'll play an integral role in educating and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows while helping shape the future of Interventional Radiology.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, or equivalent
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Interventional Radiology fellowship
  • CAQ certification or ABR Board Certification in Interventional Radiology
  • Eligible for Massachusetts medical licensure
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, collaboration, and academic excellence

Responsibilities

  • Perform a broad range of advanced image-guided procedures, including vascular access interventions, image-guided biopsies, biliary and GI/GU interventions, drainage procedures, and complex minimally invasive therapies.
  • Participate in established and growing specialty programs, including Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE), Interventional Oncology, Transplant Intervention, and Pulmonary Embolism Thrombectomy.
  • Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Contribute to research, education, and innovation within the Interventional Radiology field.
