The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist II provides services to patients and physicians to assist in diagnosis and/or treatment of a variety of conditions. Assists with the performance of technical procedures including but not limited to percutaneous diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures under the direct supervision of a Licensed Practitioner. This position is also responsible for participating in the development and design of the Interventional Radiology program at Children's MN by contributing to program and facility design, process/procedure development and documentation, and training. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures. The Interventional Radiology Technologist also maintains skills in radiography and/or other imaging specialties to provide cross-coverage and supplemental staffing as required.
