About The Position

The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist II provides services to patients and physicians to assist in diagnosis and/or treatment of a variety of conditions. Assists with the performance of technical procedures including but not limited to percutaneous diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures under the direct supervision of a Licensed Practitioner. This position is also responsible for participating in the development and design of the Interventional Radiology program at Children's MN by contributing to program and facility design, process/procedure development and documentation, and training. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures. The Interventional Radiology Technologist also maintains skills in radiography and/or other imaging specialties to provide cross-coverage and supplemental staffing as required.

Requirements

Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
Current Basic Life Support CPR Certification (BLS)
Associates Degree in Radiology or the equivalent required.
At least 2 years of IR experience.
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Physical ability and stamina (bending, standing, squatting, lifting, transferring and standing for extended periods of time) sufficient to be able to manage busy workload with patients of varying ages, diagnoses, and ability to cooperate.

Nice To Haves

3-5 years of IR experience.
Pediatric IR experience.
Lead Tech or people/process leadership experience.
Experience developing process/procedures and/or programs.
