About The Position

Performs a combination of tasks/skills pre, during, and after the IR procedure to assist the procedural team (physicians, registered nurses and radiologic technologists). Prepares both sterile and nonsterile equipment, catheters, and technology utilized pre, intra, and post procedure. Performs as a scrub assist aiding the physician and Radiology Technologist in circulating the procedure, setting up equipment, obtaining the necessary equipment needed for the procedure, open product as needed and dropping onto sterile table. Assist physician in obtaining vascular access (femoral, radial, brachial, jugular, peripheral, and transseptal), central venous line placement, and drain placement. Responsible for supply management and restocking of supplies.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
BLS Certification required
Looking for applicants seeking knowledge and skill development in an acute care setting.
Ideal applicant is students in Nursing or Allied Health fields (Radiology, Respiratory therapy, Ultrasound/Sonography).
Task oriented, good communication, likes to be part of a team
