Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time Interventional Oncology R&D Engineer Intern Peripheral Interventions (PI) Maple Grove, MN Our Purpose: Our R&D engineers are tasked with designing and developing innovative, breakthrough next-generation medical devices that improve and extend the lives of patients around the world. The Interventional Oncology & Embolization (IO&E) division leads in minimally invasive therapies for cancer treatment, vessel trauma, and vascular access. Growth of the division is driven by the aging population, under-diagnosed and under-treated patient populations, heterogeneity of disease and unmet clinical need. IO&E offers innovations in mechanical embolization, liquid/gel embolics, drainage, vascular access tools, and interventional oncology.

Requirements

  • Must graduate between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027
  • Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science
  • Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th – August 7th OR May 26th – August 14th
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location
