About The Position

Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Interventional Cath Lab Technologist to join their Cath Lab Department at the Avita Galion Hospital. This role involves assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including emergency procedures like Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, and temporary pacemaker insertion. The technologist will follow established standards of practice under the direction of a credentialed invasive radiologist, cardiologist, or cardiothoracic surgeon, and will participate in patient and family teaching, maintaining a role as a patient advocate. Additionally, the technologist may assist in NCDR registry reporting, quality initiatives, and other compliance requirements for Cath Labs with ODH.

Requirements

Associate’s degree
Current Licensure as a Registered Radiologic Technologist in the State of Ohio.
BLS certification or obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.
ACLS certification or obtained within six (6) months of hire.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab.

Responsibilities

Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
Perform emergency procedures associated with cardiovascular procedures such as Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella, and temporary pacemaker insertion.
Follow established standards of practice under the direction of a credentialed invasive radiologist, cardiologist or cardiothoracic surgeon.
Participate in patient and family teaching.
Maintain role as patient advocate with a focus on the facility’s mission.
May assist in NCDR registry reporting, quality initiatives and other compliance requirements for Cath Labs with ODH.
Capable of performing “on call” duties on a rotating basis.
Capable of responding to the work site within 30 minutes of callback notification.
